Tallaght dad goes viral after he photoshops daughter into seriously scary situations

A Tallaght dad’s photoshop skills have gone viral online after he shared doctored pictures of his 18-month-old daughter Hannah in some pretty scary situations – images which the dotting dad is now using to help raise awareness of his little girl’s rare immune disorder.

Stephen Crowley (32) from Firhouse works as a designer and he used his talent to give his family a little scare.

Hannah can be seen standing on her daddy’s lap while driving on the M50, climbing the stairs at home, brandishing a large knife next to a hot cooker and more.

Speaking to Echo.ie Stephen said: “I work as a designer, so thought it would be fun to worry family by putting someone delicate in precarious situations.

“Most of the reactions have been positive, with the odd person not getting the joke and commenting that I ‘should be shot’.

The pictures have been viewed more than 1.5 million times online, and Stephen is using their popularity to help raise awareness of the rare immune disorder, Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), which Hannah was diagnosed with when she was four-months-old.

He said: “Hannah had a very rare immune disorder called HLH and spent six months of her first year in hospital, receiving chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant, which is the only possible cure.

“Of 27 million worldwide donors, three were deemed suitable, and an anonymous German lady donated.

“Because we missed out on so much normal stuff of the first year, we take tons of photos now that we’re able to do normal things out of isolation.

“She is doing much better now, in and out of hospital, but she’s lots of fun, always smiling, and has a great sense of humour given what she’s been through so far.”
