
Tallaght man fined €250 for driving with woman on bonnet

A YOUNG driver who drove in Tallaght with a woman sitting on the bonnet of his car was fined €250 by Tallaght Court.
Connor Fallon, aged 21, with an address at Cushlawn Park, Tallaght, pleaded guilty to careless driving at Belgard Square East, Tallaght, on September 17, 2016.
Garda Paul Hanley told Judge John Lindsay that on September last, he observed a car pulling out of a car park on Belgard Square and driving up the road.
He said there was a young woman sitting on the bonnet of the the car. Garda Hanley said he stopped the car and spoke to the driver, Fallon. He said Fallon had no previous convictions.
Fallon’s solicitor, Eddie O’Connor, told Judge Lindsay that his client is an apprentice electrician. He said Fallon needs his car for work and asked the judge not to impose a disqualification.
Convicting, Judge Lindsay fined Fallon €250.
