Spellman, aged 40, with an address at Kilmartin Drive, Tallaght, pleaded guilty to possession of stolen property: 15 golf clubs and a blue Wilson golf bag at Fortunestown Shopping Centre in Tallaght on November 28, 2014.

Spellman was before Judge John Lindsay for a probation report.

Spellman’s solicitor, Michael Hennessy, said the case had been before the drugs court and had been sent back to Tallaght.
The court heard that Spellman had six previous convictions, but none for violence.

Judge Lindsay sentenced Spellman to 100 hours community service with two months imprisonment in default.
