Boyle is also listed in the squad along with former Cherry Orchard defender Danny Kane, who is currently out at loan AFC Fylde.

After an 81st minute goal by Ronan Curtis against Kosovo last Friday, which secured a 1-1 draw, Ireland go into the game today just two points behind their opponents.

The Irish team currently have three games left to qualify, and if successful it would be the first time the team has qualified for the UEFA U21 European Championship finals.

“It’s a huge game for us and the boys are buzzing for it.

“We got back from Kosovo on Saturday, it’s been a long week for the group but the attitude has been excellent and everyone is really looking forward to it,” said U21 Head Coach Noel King.

After taking a “good point” against Kosovo, Ireland go into today’s game “full of confidence”.

King added that “this is a really talented group” and that the team has got themselves into a “great position and the chance of qualification is still there”.
