Tallaght Toastmasters first ‘competent communicator’

TALLAGHT Toastmasters has only been estbalished three months and they recently enjoyed some success with the news that Margaret Collins has become the first member to reach 'Competent Communicator' level.

Reaching this level means Margaret had to give ten speeches over a period to the Toastmasters which were then evaluated by a member of the group.

Members come from all walks of life with one common goal, to improve their speaking ability and confidence.

The group have a very friendly and encouraging environment where no one is forced to do anything.

The group meet in the St Kevin’s Family Resource Centre Kilnamanagh (Girls School) on the second and fourth Monday of each month and new members are always welcome. First meeting is free.

For the first time, some of the groups members will be taking part in area competitions. They will be selected from local competition on September 24.
