Task force is ‘saddened’ with figures in drug deaths report

A local drug and alcohol task force are “saddened” that Ireland ranked as the highest country in the EU for drug deaths in a recent report.

In the European Drug Report 2024, Ireland recorded 322 deaths due to drugs in 2020, which represents 97 deaths per million people.
