He was accompanied in court by his father. Devlin, aged 18, with an address at Cushlawn Way, Tallaght, had pleaded guilty to dangerous driving at Cushlawn Estate in Tallaght on June 10, 2017.

The court had heard that at 10pm on June 10 last, Garda Kieran Kilcoyne had been on patrol when he saw a motorcycle being driven at speed across a green area.

Children had been playing on the green at the time and Devlin had failed to stop.

Devlin’s solicitor, Michael Hennessy, told Judge Mitchell that it was a good report.

Judge Mitchell told Devlin that he would put the case back to February for a final report with “no guarantees”.

He told Devlin that he could face a driving ban of two years.
