Teen tells solicitor ‘I am going to write a rap song about you’
A TEENAGER (16) who headbutted his mother and stole newspapers was remanded for a probation report by Tallaght Court.
The teenager who is a talented soccer player told Judge Patricia McNamara that he also writes and performs his own rap songs.

Tallaght Court had heard that the teenager had been removed from his family home by social services and is now in temporary homeless accommodation for juveniles.
The teenager, who has an address in Rathfarnham, had pleaded guilty to assaulting his mother at his home address on May 5, 2017.
He had previously pleaded guilty to stealing newspapers worth €200 from a petrol station in Rathfarnham on September 23, 2017.
The case was before Judge Patricia McNamara in Tallaght Court for a probation report.
The teenager was accompanied by his mother.
He was represented by his solicitor, Michael Hennessy.
Judge McNamara said it was a good report.
She asked the teenager how he was doing.
He said he had scored three goals in a soccer match and is now making his own rap music.
Mr Hennessy said his client wanted his curfew shortened by 90 minutes as the evenings were getting lighter.
He said the teenager’s mother was against any change to the curfew.
Judge McNamara told the teenager: “If you go out and hang out with the wrong crowd, you could get into trouble.”
Judge McNamara noted that there was a family meeting in two weeks.
She said the issue of the curfew could be raised then.
She remanded the teenager on continuing bail for two weeks for a probation report.
As he was leaving the court, the teenager told Mr Hennessy: “I am going to write a rap song about you”.
