
Toucan crossing for hikers and bikers to cost €70,000

THE mystery surrounding roadworks on the N81 have this week been solved as South Dublin County Council confirms that it is putting a new toucan crossing at the location.
Work on the toucan crossing, which is designed to allow both pedestrians and cyclists to cross, is expected to be completed by the end of May this year.
According to the council, it is always working to improve the situation for cyclists and pedestrians with the new toucan crossing part of further plans to improve road safety in the area.
Works on the new crossing are to cost in the region of €70,000, with a temporary crossing installed until the new crossing is officially opened.
