Twenty new jobs score high at Jack Pott’s Bingo in Whitestown

OVER 20 new jobs have been created in Tallaght through the opening of a new Jack Pott’s Bingo club at The Arena, Whitestown Way.
It is the fourth such Jack Pott’s club opened in Dublin since 2011.

Operated by Capital Entertainment and Leisure, the Irish firm invested heavily to renovate old cinema buildings in Crumlin, Whitehall and Cabra.
Tallaght is part of an ongoing expansion plan for the company, according to Darren Butler, Head of Operations, Capital Entertainment and Leisure.
“We are fully committed to communities we have opened in and have forged strong links in Cabra, Crumlin, and Whitehall, and will continue that in Tallaght,” said Mr Butler.
“There was significant investment in the Tallaght premises to allow for a larger games room, improved facilities and a grab-and-go coffee shop. The club interiors have also been completely redesigned to align with the brand ethos, offering Tallaght members the best bingo facilities in the country.”
The Tallaght club opened in early May and Fair City actor Eric Lalor officially launched the premises on May 27, alongside VIP member Kathleen Keogh and brand mascot, Jack the Cat.
Butler says the business model is “growing year on year”, attributing the interest of new members to a changing public perception of bingo in Ireland.
He said: “We are seeing a range of ages joining the club to enjoy an alternative night out. The company’s strong commitment to high standards, staffing and new product investment sets it apart from competitors.
“Tallaght is proving popular with the local community in its first few weeks of business and we anticipate an exciting year ahead.”
Butler said the appeal of Bingo is that it is “a fun, social game that’s easy to learn and can be enjoyed on paper or electronic tablets.”
“The main appeal is the social aspect – it’s a great night out, where friends and people from the local community meet, catch up and have a bite to eat. And there’s something very appealing about guaranteed prize money as well.
“The grab-and-go coffee shop serves excellent coffee, freshly made sandwiches and paninis from 9am. Our dedicated bingo hall offers daily bingo games with friendly staff on hand to help new members learn how to play.
“Members all have their own favourite nights to play, with something to suit everybody, from interval games to party nights and special link nights. Our slots room is now home to many exclusive games and is also open daily. The café in the main bingo hall serves freshly made hot meals to members and is proving a big hit so far.”
Open seven days a week, Jack Pott’s Bingo is a strictly over 18s club.
