Two special educational needs classrooms plan
Scoil Chaitlín Maude in Killinarden is seeking an extension to the school to provide two new special educational needs classrooms.
The works consist of the construction of an adjoining single-storey special education needs (SEN) unit of 540sq.m to the west of the existing school building.
It will include two SEN classrooms with safe base and storage facilities, a central activities space, office, multi-sensory room, cleaner’s stores, storage rooms, and toilets.
Shower areas and associated ancillary spaces, plus an additional six car parking spaces to the north of the proposed extension, are included.
Other works include the relocation of the existing attenuation tank, the relocation of the junior play area and orchard, and the inclusion of a new sensory garden and a secure soft play area to the west, with all associated site works.
A decision on the application for planning permission is due from South Dublin County Council by July 24.
