Video captures Tallaght residents being intimidated and threatened by young thugs
Intimidating and threatening behaviour is continuing at a Tallaght apartment complex, with residents at the Mount Seskin Court apartment development sharing a video of the behaviour last night.
The clip, which has been viewed and shared thousands of times, shows a gang of up to six teenagers using threatening language and throwing an object at those who call the complex their home.
The Echo have consistently covered the issues at Mount Seskin Court in recent weeks, however, residents say there has been little or no intervention or help from Gardai or the building’s management company.
Some of those featured in the short video can be easily identified, while others covered their faces as they threatened the residents who feel they are being forgotten.
Speaking to Echo.ie last week one resident said: “The CCTV has been destroyed, the wires [in the hallways] are loose, there are broken tiles on the floor, and the gates are broken, so now there’s no security,” the concerned resident told The Echo.
“It’s a very bad situation, it’s not safe to sleep here – we’re always worried about the cars.”
Meanwhile, another resident who we spoke to in July said: “Last Friday the group were here all night drinking and doing cocaine.
She continued: “They’ve burnt out cars and smashed up the apartment gates. They’ve even spray-painted the security cameras.
“I come home and I’m nearly crying because it’s so bad.”
We will have more on this developing story in this week’s Echo, in shops on Thursday.
