It’s going to be a soggy, dull day in Dublin but the weather will improve later in the afternoon, according to the latest weather forecast by Met Eireann.

It has already been a wet and windy start to the day, but the rain will gradually clear eastwards through the morning and will be followed by fresher, brighter conditions.

The rest of the day will see a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers.

Temperatures in the afternoon will reach highs of around 15 degrees in moderate to fresh westerly winds.
