You’ll be hearing a lot about Hurricane Gert this weekend but it’s not that bad
You will be hearing a lot about the imminent arrival of Hurricane Gert over the next few days as blustery conditions look set to arrive in Ireland.
The second hurricane of the season is expected to track eastwards from the Atlantic Ocean, and Ireland looks set to feel the tail-end of it.
At best, the weather across the country will be unsettled, with wet and windy conditions expected, but Met Eireann have said the weather will be changeable rather than extreme.
Met Eireann’s Deirdre Lowe said nothing severe is being predicted, but winds could become quite strong at times in the northwest.
The unsettled weather looks set to continue into next week, and although it will be quite humid over the weekend, the typical Irish summer looks set to continue!
