“We have completed healthcare staff and high risk people identified by their hospital clinicians and are now currently working through those registered on the public portal.

“To date more than 100,000 vaccines have been administered in Citywest. I would like to acknowledge the work and commitment of all our staff who are supporting this delivery. We look forward to welcoming those people for vaccination in the coming weeks.

Registration for people aged 45-69 years old is currently open, with the HSE confirming yesterday that Ireland has administered a total of 2.5 million doses to date.

With this news, Taoiseach Micheál Martin confirmed that Ireland is still on track to reach its goal of vaccinating 80% of the population by early July. The HSE has confirmed that they will soon outline the next phase of Ireland’s vaccination plan, which will see more than 400,000 shots a week administered in June.

All those eligible to register can register online at www.hse.ie if they have not been vaccinated or received an appointment yet.

Vaccination Centres are to be attended by those with appointments only and are asking people not to go to the centre without an appointment as they will not be vaccinated. Photo ID is also required, and people are reminded to be on time for their appointment.

An announcement is expected in the coming days on when vaccination registration for people aged 40-44 will open.
