65 acre Clonburris site on the market at €27.5m

A 65-ACRE plot of land, located in the Clonburris Strategic Development Zone (SDZ) between Lucan and Clondalkin, has gone on the market with a guide price of €27.5m.

In June 2018, councillors in SDCC voted by 24 to nine to approve plans for the Clonburris Strategic Development Zone.

The Clonburris SDZ will comprise of 8,500 houses, with at least 2,700 available for social and affordable housing. An Bord Pleanála held an oral hearing about the plans for the SDZ last month, with a number of councillors from South Dublin County Council sharing their views on the plans.

The outcome of the oral hearing has not yet been released.

The subject site which is currently on the market has the potential for 800-950 residential units and 800 sq. m of commercial space.

The site benefits from being almost equidistant from the N4 and the N7, while public transport is provided by Dublin Bus’s 40 bus route and train services from the nearby Clondalkin/Fonthill Train Station.
