Staff from AbbVie with their award
In January, AbbVie was listed among the Best Large Workplaces in Ireland for the sixth successive year.
Up to 11 of the World’s Top 25 employers have a recognised Irish-based operation.
Great Place to Work Ireland said they were “particularly proud to see Ireland performing among the best of the best” noting how “eight of the Top 10 listed organisations contained an Irish operation.”
“Congratulations to these organisations – their performance demonstrates Ireland’s ability to compete effectively at a global level, and the extent to which multinational organisations see Ireland as a base of talent, innovation, and key performance,” said the organisation.
Cisco Systems were number one on the list, while business software firm SAP Ireland Limited, who have offices in Citywest Business Campus, made it to sixth on the World’s Best Workplaces list.
Great Place to Work Ireland said organisations recognised on their Best Workplaces lists are those that “take the time and effort to develop authentic, effective practices that bring their culture and values to life.”
AbbVie was listed as the No. 2 Best Large Workplace in Ireland 2019 – the highest-placed company in the biopharmaceutical/ pharmaceutical industry across all categories.
Caroline McClafferty, Director of Business Human Resources for Manufacturing Engineering Services with AbbVie, was also the recipient of the 2019 ‘Great Place to Work Ambassador’ award.
The Great Place to Work Institute also recognised AbbVie as a Best Workplace for Women.
