Adeleke on fire again in Nationals

TALLAGHT Athletic Club’s Rhasidat Adeleke was in fantastic form again on the final day of National Juvenile Indoor Championships in Athlone last Saturday.

After breaking the National Under 16 60m record a week earlier, she followed that up with some fantastic displays of running in the 200m where she broke the record in the heats and again smashed it in the Final with 24.44 which was quicker than the time required for the European Youth Olympics.

The club’s Jan Geraghty also ran superbly to claim silver in the Under 16 800m with a new PB of 2.02.57 and Eoghan Kearney did likewise in the Under 19 800m with a fantastic time of 1.57.86.
