‘All we lose is the trust of our communities’

NEW measures have been introduced by local authorities in an effort to reduce the timeline for delivery of housing developments from 20 weeks to 8 weeks.

However, it also leaves no room for public consultation, which “locks out” communities in the process, and “further erodes local democracy”, according to councillors.
