How long are you together?
6 Years
How long are you engaged?
1 year 4 months
How did you meet? (Amiee)
I was on a night out standing at the bar and there was a huge mirror the length of the bar behind the barmen.
I saw Lindsey through that mirror smiling and laughing away and I was stunned, she was just beautiful.
As I walked up the steps I bumped into my friend Leanne. We got chatting and I said ‘that girl at the bar is fab’ then I pointed Lindsey out.
Leanne literally laughed at me and said ‘Amiee that’s my cousin!!’ I almost had a heart attack because Leanne made me introduce myself to Lindsey, but I did and the rest is fabulous history.
Who proposed?
Lindsey
How did you propose? (Lindsey)
We were on holiday in Lanzarote. I had to smuggle the ring in the box in about 20 pairs of ankle socks going over on the flight.
I knew we would be there for our fifth anniversary so I proposed to Amiee in Lanzarote on the day of our anniversary, just us and the sunset! It went perfectly.
What’s the most romantic thing you have ever done for each other? (Amiee)
I believe we are both as romantic as each other. The most romantic thing I’ve done for Lindsey is at Christmas I got her a fabulous makeup table, mirror, loads of makeup and makeup brushes.
I’ve never seen anyone so happy and that made me smile. I spent Christmas Eve putting the makeup table together and getting all her new makeup and lots of other presents sorted and it made me excited to see her face.
Plus I now have my own personal MUA (make up artist) haha.
What would your first dance song be?
Beyonce – Smashed into you
What would it mean to win this prize?
Amiee: Honestly this would just mean the world not just to me but both our families. But for me Lindsey is my best friend and my absolute soul mate.
She does everything and anything she can for anyone. She is kind, selfless and such a laid back person in life.
I want this more than anything in the world, but most importantly, I want it for Lindsey and for our families.
We are always there to pick each other up whenever things get bad, even just a hug helps and that’s how I know I want to spend the rest of our lives together and build a family.
Lindsey: It would mean the world to me to marry the person I absolutely adore with all our family and friends there to share our special day.
Since day one I knew I would spend all of my life with Amiee. To call her my wife would be rather wonderful, plus she would make a beautiful bride!
