Participants can choose what events or workshops they would like to attend and participate from the comfort of their own home.

Last year, Cliona Swan and her husband Gianpiero De Vallier, an Italian master-baker, took home the top prize for their business, which produces fresh, handmade pizza bases.

The pair were joined by South Dublin Mayor Ed O’Brien, South Dublin Director Frank Nevin, and Head of Enterprise Tom Rooney, for the launch of the 2021 programme.

It takes place from March 1-5, with the national launch of the Green for Micro initiative kicking off on the first day.

“The impact of Covid-19 has and continues to challenge many of our local businesses into 2021 but it is important that businesses take this time to prepare themselves for their re-opening later in the year, to innovate and explore new business ideas and to consider the opportunities for e-commerce including the expansion into new International markets’, said Tom Rooney.

A keynote presentation is from the motivational speaker David Meade on how to ‘Engage for Success online’. Workshops on Creating a Trading Online Digital Strategy, Enabling your B2B Online opportunities and Data Protection & GDPR essentials for successful e-commerce will also take place.

The purpose of the week is to highlight the range of services and supports available to existing and potential entrepreneurs and micro and small enterprises.

The full programme is available at local enterprise. All events are free with most having unlimited capacity with the exception of some workshops which may be for limited numbers.

LEO South Dublin is strongly advising businesses to book their place in advance to avoid disappointment.
