Applications open for 42 cost-rental apartments at Exchange Square at a cost of €1,685 per month

Applications are now open for 42 new cost-rental two-bed apartments at Exchange Square in Seven Mills with rents below the market average for the area, according to housing association Clúid.

Interested applicants will be able to apply to rent one of the 42 brand new, A-rated apartments in the budding suburb of Dublin at a cost of €1,685 per month. Applications opened on Wednesday and will remain open for two weeks.

Exchange Square is the latest development in the new town of Seven Mills, located along the Grand Canal in Dublin 22.

Clúid Chief Executive Officer Averil Power stated that the rents are “25 per cent below the market rent” in the area and that high demand is anticipated.

The Clúid CEO said: “At Clúid we’re well aware of the difficulties facing those trying to find a secure, good value home in the private rental sector. We’re therefore delighted to open applications for these high-quality two-bed apartments.

“With rents at least 25% below the market rent, this is a great opportunity for households to enjoy a secure, long-term tenancy in a brand new, high-quality, mixed-tenure development, at the heart of the new town of Seven Mills and close to Dublin city.

“We are expecting high demand for these homes, due to the high quality, excellent location and reduced rents.”

It is minutes away from Kishoge railway station, which is served by regular trains to Heuston and Grand Canal Dock stations in Dublin, as well as Newbridge, in Kildare and Portlaoise in Laois.

A new Lidl supermarket is due to open within Exchange Square in 2027, providing residents with additional amenities.

Seven Mills is Ireland’s fastest growing town, having grown to a population of over 4,000 people since the first residents got their keys in late 2023.

These new cost rental homes were delivered by Clúid in partnership with South Dublin County Council, and with the support of the Department of Housing, Heritage and Local Government, The Housing Agency and the Housing Finance Agency. The developer is Cairn Homes. Occu will be providing support with the allocation and onboarding of these new homes.

The housing association is urging interested applicants to familiarise themselves with the eligibility requirements and to complete their applications on www.cluid.ie as soon as possible.

Applicants will need to submit all their documentation online before 5pm on Wednesday 18 November to be included in the lottery.
