Art Therapy College moves to ACE Enterprise Centre

DUBLIN Art Therapy College hosted an open day to announce their relocation to the ACE Enterprise Centre, in Clondalkin, this week.  

The event on January 18, was well attended by potential candidates who wish to train as art psychotherapists and those interested in knowing about art therapy.

The Dublin Art Therapy College was established in 2009 and offers a blended training in counselling, psychotherapy and art therapy - a form of psychotherapy that encourages self-expression through art making.

The college which was formerly based in Marino Institute of Education on an ad-hoc basis, and relocating to Clondalkin, provides a permanent premises for their services.

Training at the ACE centre is supported by a highly educated and experienced team, who work at the leading edge of art psychotherapy training in Ireland and Europe.  

DATC have developed a person centred art psychotherapy approach to therapy, which is fully accredited by the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Courses include an introduction to art therapy and a foundation certificate in art therapy.

Workshops include three full weeks of summer camp in June and July, where individual and interrelated creative therapies will be facilitated at their new home in ACE Enterprise Park.
