AUTHORITIES are dealing with a range of issues in north Clondalkin estates, including street fighting, drug dealing, shootings and neighbor disputes.

Independent Councillor Francis Timmons asked South Dublin County Council for a report on anti-social behaviour statistics for a number of estates at the Clondalkin area committee meeting on Wednesday.

The estates are Lealand, Lindisfarne, Melrose, Denasrath, Kilcronan, Kilmahudrick, Grangeview, Oldcastle, and Castlegrange.

A spokesperson for SDCC said: “It is not currently possible to break down the anti-social statistics by estate without manually examining the records on a day by day basis. Given the current resources available this is not possible at this time.”

However, the local authority said it was possible to confirm that they are currently dealing with the following range of issues within the estates.

These issues include parties, reported street fighting, suspicion of drug dealing, dirty gardens, reported children throwing stones at cars, inter neighbour dispute, damage to property, shooting, youths congregating in gangs causing disturbance, succession of tenancy issues and complaints about noise from children kicking football.
