Ballyfermot permanent tsb is proud to be celebrating 50 years of working with the community.

Through the Ballyfermot branch, our customers have opened their first current account, bought their first home and taken that holiday of a lifetime. Our dedicated team are delighted to have had the opportunity to get to know the local community and to have been there for them over the years on their journey.

At permanent tsb, we are always finding new and better ways for our customers to bank. In the last 50 years we have seen a move towards digital technology and 24/7 banking services. Despite this, we have maintained our heart in the Ballyfermot community through our local branch and team.

People such as Joe Gilligan, our Territory Sales Manager, are what keeps permanent tsb local – “I have held management positions with permanent tsb for over 25 years. Providing great customer care for the Ballyfermot community has been a big part of my career and is something that both myself and  my team, led by Val Tierney, take great satisfaction from.”

In addition to offering banking services to the local people, permanent tsb has been a supporter of many businesses in the Ballyfermot community, including professionals, self-employed and the SME sector. We are proud to have been there as their ally over the last 50 years.  

The team in the Ballyfermot branch have also recently started supporting personal customers at their workplace by providing banking at work support within the local Ballyfermot community. The introduction of ptsb at work to many businesses in the greater Ballyfermot area has resulted in some fantastic feedback. Employees in these businesses are delighted that we are bringing new and better ways to bank directly to them.

To celebrate our 50th anniversary, we are having a Branch event on Saturday the 28th of April from 10am to 3pm. All our existing and new customers are welcome to join us and meet the team over some light refreshments.

Finally as a token of appreciation for the Ballyfermot community we are delighted to be making a donation to Pieta House for the great support and service they provide to so many people across the country including the Ballyfermot Area.
