‘Batman’ Ben loses brave battle with cancer

‘Batman’ Ben Farrell has sadly passed away this morning after a brave battle with cancer.

Just last week local families from across Tallaght and Clondalkin were fundraising on Ben’s behalf, raising €7,000 in aid of the young boy.

Ben had been receiving treatment in the US for a rare type of cancer known as Wilms Tumour.

The five-year-old from Finglas returned to Dublin recently and passed away surrounded by his loving family.

Ben’s cousin attends Junior Genius’ in Baldonnell and, after hearing of Ben’s campaign, the staff had decided to stage a fundraising event.

Everyone at the Echo would like to pass on their deepest condolences to the Farrell family and their friends at this sad time.
