Be part of efforts to clean and care for Sean Walsh Park environment

THE Litter Mugs are doing their monthly, clean-up of Sean Walsh Park this Saturday, November 25 – with the team of volunteers also making a council-funded anti-litter video.

Organised by the Litter Mugs, a society of local volunteers who are proud of where they live, the clean-up is open to the entire community – with local people encouraged to be part of ongoing efforts to mind and care for the local environment.

The group is also making an anti-litter awareness video this Saturday, with members of the community invited to be part of the short film – which, funded by South Dublin County Council, will focus on the damage litter has on the area and its wildlife and the efforts being made by the community to protect the park.

Minors will have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian if they wish to appear in the video.

The Litter Mugs will meet at 10am at the park’s main lake (where the hippo lives) this Saturday, November 25 – weather dependant.

Follow the Litter Mugs Facebook page for updates.
