Car of man murdered in Clondalkin set on fire at local Garda station

A Garda investigation is underway after a vehicle was set on fire at Ronanstown Garda station last Friday, August 4.

The vehicle is believed to have belonged to Noel Kirwan who was gunned down while he sat in the car last December on St Ronan’s Drive in Clondalkin.

Mr Kirwan’s partner was also sitting in the black Ford Mondeo when the attack occurred, but was not injured.

It is believed a full forensic examination was conducted on the vehicle shortly after Mr Kirwan’s murder, and there was no evidence remaining.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed the incident, saying they are “investigating an incident of criminal damage at Ronanstown Garda station at 11:45pm on August 4, 2017”.
