Celtic set to return to Tallaght

By Stephen Leonard

TREBLE-winning Glasgow Celtic will return to Tallaght Stadium to take on Shamrock Rovers on Saturday, July 7 (kick-off at 3pm).

The match will be part of the Bhoys preparation for their UEFA Champions League qualification match and is expected to generate a lot of excitement.

Rovers V Celtic 88

Brendan Rodgers’ side turned in a superb performance on their visit here last summer, hitting nine goals without response and Rovers will be looking to put up a far better display this time round.

Celtic completed back-to-back trebles only last Saturday when they beat Motherwell 2-0 to raise the Scottish Cup.

Rovers, whose own Graham Burke made his Republic of Ireland debut in a 2-2 draw against Celtic last weekend, are in the middle of their Airtricity League campaign and will be in the hunt for a valuable three points against near neighbours St Patrick’s Athletic in Tallaght tomorrow night (Tuesday)

General sale tickets for the Celtic match have been available online from yesterday (Wednesday) at www.shamrockrovers.ie/match-tickets/ priced at €30 Adults, €17.50 Children Under 14, and there are Premium tickets available at €45 which include access to the 1899 Suite from 1pm with live music, a full cash bar, hot food sales and a reserved Main Stand seat.
