Following Glenn’s death, Crumlin United launched a Go Fund Me page in a bid to raise money for his family and to date, over €30,000 has been raised in Glenn’s honour.

The Go Fund Me page said Glenn “always had a smile on his face”, was “full of life and a big part of our club.”

At 26 years old he was taken away from his family and his football family way too soon, Glenn fought with everything to the end with a smile on his face while still making others smile.”

A message on RIP.ie said Glenn, of Donomore Crescent, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends, at St James’s Hospital, including his partner Kirsty and son Cruze.

Relay for Life is a cancer fundraising initiative that sees communities raise awareness of services provided by the Irish Cancer Society.
