Cheers to 100 years!

A SPECIAL day for Sr Stephen Brennan who celebrated her 100th birthday at Maryfield Nursing Home in Chapelizod on Friday with family and friends.

From strong farming stock in Cavan, Sr Stephen brought a love of the land with her on a career as a primary school teacher with St Louis Sisters.

At Maryfield on Friday, Sr Stephen was joined by her family and close friends, including some of the residents at the Chapelizod home, for a special service in the chapel.

One of ten children, Sr Stephen was born in Cavan, in 1921 to her mother Delia and father Dan.

Dan was a farmer, and Sr Stephen loved the farming life, especially taking care of the animals and cattle.
