Chopping hair for a sick child

A LUCAN woman is chopping her hair in order to provide a wig for a sick child, while also fundraising for Laura Lynn Children’s Hospital, reports Aimee Walsh.

Speaking about her decision to donate her hair, Chloe Farrell from Adamstown, Lucan, says that she has always thought about how lucky she is to “be healthy with a full head of hair”.

“It’s always broken my heart seeing ill and terminally ill children and I’ve always wanted to do my best to bring a little bit of magic and normality to their tough little lives.

“That’s why I’ve decided to donate my hair so a beautiful little wig can be made to make a difference to one of those little princesses.”

Chloe says that she wants to do more than just donate the hair and bring hope to one child, also deciding to fundraise for Laura Lynn Children’s Hospital over the coming weeks.

“Please support me by donating whatever you can to Laura Lynn. What I’m doing isn’t brave or in any way difficult, I’m just cutting my hair, these kids and their families need you so please donate if you can.”
