Ciarán Carr Colour Run in Corkagh Park

Ciarán Carr Colour Run in Corkagh Park

Following on from the huge success of the Ciarán Carr Foundation Colour Run in 2018 that saw 1,000 people gather in Corkagh Park for a family day out, the event will make a return on Sunday, September 29.

This year promises to be bigger and better than before with more colours on show, a special zone for kids who would like even more colours and a host of local businesses joining the fun.

The annual Colour Run is the Foundation's main fundraising event each year which allows the charity to continue to provide defibrillators and training support to sports clubs, schools, businesses and community organisations across Clondalkin, Ireland and in 2019, for the first time, internationally in the UK.

Philip Carr, Chairman of the Foundation: “We are extremely lucky to have a fantastic local community that have supported our work over the past seven years.

The Colour Run in Corkagh Park is an opportunity for families, friends and everyone in between to gather and enjoy a great morning of activity.

“This year it falls on a very special day, World Heart Day, which is a global celebration of all things cardiac health. So our message this year is what better way to celebrate the day than getting active with the family in Corkagh Park!”

The event will begin at 12 noon with early arrival advised. It is open to people of all ages including walkers, joggers and runners who will be able to tackle the 5km course.

Adult entry is €10 including a t-shirt while under 16s can register for free.
