Citywest Covid-19 Vaccination Centre open for walk-in vaccination

THE HSE will be operating dose 1 walk-in Covid-19 vaccination in Citywest over the August bank holiday weekend. The centre will be open to anyone in Ireland over the age of 16 who is not yet vaccinated.

You can attend the walk-in clinic at the Citywest Vaccination Centre and get your first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine without an appointment at these times:

  • Saturday, July 31 – 8am to 12pm
  • Sunday,  August 1 – 12pm to 6.30pm

If you attend outside the designated walk-in times, unfortunately the HSE will not be able to vaccinate you without an appointment.

Phil O’Neill, Chief Operations Manager at the Citywest Vaccination Centre: “Registration and uptake for the Covid-19 vaccine has been so strong across the country and we are delighted to be in a position to open our doors to walk-in vaccination this weekend for the first time.

“We are so proud of the team here in Citywest for the amazing contribution they have made in supporting and delivering the vaccination programme.

“As of Wednesday, 28th July, Citywest had administered over 316,000 vaccinations since opening on the 3rd March, which accounts for 5.5% of total vaccinations administered nationally.

“By the end of this week we will reach in excess of 320,000 vaccines administered here.

“This is a wonderful achievement and could only have been accomplished with the support of the whole team here including the volunteers, the partner agencies and all of our staff.”

Karn Cliffe, Group Lead for Vaccination in the Dublin Midlands Hospital Group: “We want to encourage people who haven’t had a vaccine yet to attend our walk-in clinic at Citywest Vaccination Centre, making getting your vaccine even easier than before.

“The clinics are for dose 1 vaccines only. Anyone aged 16 or over can attend our walk-in clinic this August bank holiday weekend and get their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine is free of charge.

“You don’t have to register online beforehand, we can register you here, but it will save you time to do so prior to arriving. If you have already registered online and are waiting on an appointment for your first dose, you can choose to go to the walk-in clinic instead.”

You can also attend any of the participating vaccination centres around the country.
