Clondalkin’s highest ranking trio, the IDP Women's group of Fiona Tapley, Sophie Toomey and Grace Connolly were looking to take gold at this event for the third year in succession.

They were first on the floor for the club on the opening day of the tournament and produced an excellent Balance routine that put them in first place overnight.

With everything to play for on Day Two they presented their superb Dynamic routine, the score of which was added to their tally on the first day.

It was enough to see them secure them the gold and successfully defend their crown.

In the Grade 5 Womens group, Clondalkin had two partnerships in action in a very tight division with both partnerships produc-ing excellent Balance and Dynamic routines over the two days.

After both scores were tallied, the trio of Hannah Brennan, Ellen Doyle and Zoe Rice took the bronze medal narrowly edging out their teammates Zara O’Reilly, Daisy Smith and Eibhe Fitzharris who finished up in fourth place.

At Grade Four which competes in one routine, Clondalkin fielded a women’s trio of Ella Rice, Leia Scale and Ella O’Donoghue and a women’s pair of Katie Toohey and Eve O’Connor.

Both of these partner-ships were competing at International level for the first time and performed exceptionally well.
