Cocaine worth €3 million seized in Clondalkin
COCAINE valued at €3 million was seized in a residence following a garda search operation in Clondalkin on Tuesday.
Following the search, a man in his 30s was arrested and is is currently detained at a Garda Station in the DMR under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
A garda statement released on Wednesday morning said: “Gardaí have seized cocaine valued at €3m and arrested a man in his 30s following a search operation at a residence in Clondalkin, Dublin on Tuesday 9th July 2024.
“The operation was conducted by Gardaí attached to the Serious Crime South in Clondalkin & Ballyfermot.
“The suspected cocaine will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) to undergo analysis.
“The arrested man, aged in his 30s, is currently detained at a Garda Station in the DMR under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996”.
Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
