Community invited to attend drop-in support sessions in Brookfield

IN RESPONSE to the recent tragedy in Tallaght, the community is invited to attend drop-in sessions this Tuesday and Thursday, September 13 and 15.

The drop-in sessions will be held on Tuesday and Thursday from 11am to 1pm in the Brookfield Youth and Community Centre.

Staff from the HSE, Tusla and NEPS (National Educational Psychological Service) will be available to provide resources and support to help members of the community at this difficult time.

The sessions have been organised by the South Dublin CYPSC (Children & Young People’s Services Committee), which has a Critical Incident Management Team now in place.

This team will help co-ordinate a response for those directly impacted and the wider community.

The South Dublin CYPSC has also set up a critical incident information hub, which lists supports and the contact details of various services that can offer help at this time.

In addition, the team is seeking to put in place some outreach supports for local services and the community.

The team is also reaching out to local organisations, which feel they have supports or resources that could be beneficial, to get in touch.
