Concerns about substandard storage zones at proposed development in Fortunestown Lane

SOUTH Dublin County Council has requested additional information about “substandard, inadequate and impractical storage zones” as part of the proposed development of 21 houses on Fortunestown Lane in Citywest.

The submission, which was lodged by Talarive Ltd in February, contains plans for the development of ten three-bedroom, semi-detached houses and 11 three-bedroom, terraced houses.

The submission, which was lodged by Talarive Ltd in February, contains plans for the development of ten three-bedroom, semi-detached houses and 11 three-bedroom, terraced houses.

The proposed development will be on a site of 0.658 hectares, with the revised boundary to the Lidl store to the east and Fortunestown Lane to the south.

Talarive Ltd previously secured planning permission for 399 dwellings in Citywest.

The additional information which is being sought includes revised drawings which will incorporate pedestrian and cyclist access to an adjoining residential development to the south of the proposed development.

The applicant has also been instructed to provide revised drawings to address the council’s concerns in relation to “substandard, inadequate and impractical storage zones” in the proposed development, and to provide revised landscape drawings.

The council requested the additional information on April 10, the applicant must submit the additional information within six months of the council’s decision date.

If the additional information is not received within the six month period then the application will be considered withdrawn.
