Coronavirus: 1,706 new cases confirmed

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been notified of 1,706* confirmed cases of COVID-19.

According to information provided through the Department of Health’s Twitter account 1,706 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 are being reported as of midnight, Saturday, August 28.

As of 8am today, 347 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 60 are in ICU.
