Council says they are unable to access rat-infested house

SOUTH Dublin County Council said it has “extremely limited” powers to enter an empty rat-infested house in Glenview Park, Tallaght, despite the fact the rodents are getting into neighbouring houses.

The house is privately owned and, according to local councillor Mick Duff, the owner of the property visits the house once a week to collect post, but it is otherwise abandoned.
