Delays on M50 remain after early morning collision

The knock-on effect of a multi-vehicle crash on the M50 this morning means delays remain.

Dublin Fire Brigade attended the crash, which involved several vehicles, and they left the scene just before 8am.

The collision just before Junction 12 (Firhouse) northbound saw traffic come to a standstill earlier, and motorists are continuing to report tailbacks as far as the M11.

Dublin Fire Brigade said: “The RTC on the M50 NB at Firhouse has been cleared. All lanes reopened. Units from Donnybrook and Rathfarnham attended.”

Motorists have also been warned to take caution on the roads later today due to heavy rain. After the warm spell roads can become greasy when wet.
