DFB warn people about the importance of watering Christmas tress
A startling video showing how quick an un-watered Christmas tree can burn has been shared by Dublin Fire Brigade in an attempt to warn people about the dangers of not watering their trees.
According to DFB, Christmas trees should be watered on a daily basis to insure that, if there is a fire, it will burn considerably slower.

In the video, a dry tree on the left can be seen burning at an alarming rate compared to the three on the right, which has been watered.
DFB have also been sharing festive tips for keeping your home safe this year, including the importance of using weather-proof sockets for outside lights, and checking wires to make sure they have not been damaged by the winter weather.
