Distressed horse rescued from canal near Cherry Orchard
Unis from Dublin Fire Brigade and a special Swiftwater Rescue Team (SRT) have rescued a distressed horse from the canal at Killeen Road near Cherry Orchard.
Three units from DFB responded to an emergency call before 8am this morning.

Good news! The distressed horse was removed from the canal at Killeen Rd. A vet is to attend the scene. SRT’s were used to rescue the animal pic.twitter.com/lq6fwCCxuB

The horse was found in a distressed state in the water of the canal.
The DSPCA were also involved in the rescue, and a vet is expected to arrive on the scene shortly.
