Dominic’s talented kids shine in Search for a Star show
TALLAGHT talent was on full display on Saturday when Dominic’s Community Centre hosted its sparkling Search for a Star show.
Open to children of school-going age, the talent show in Rua Red saw 13 impressive acts perform, including singers, dancers and a keyboard player.
In the run-up to the show, participants took part in four weeks of rehearsals facilitated by the team in Dominic’s Community Centre.
According to Niamh Valentine, community centre team leader: “It was a wonderful experience for all the children, and we are so proud of how well they all performed, the judges had a very tough job on the day.
“As the show was so successful the staff in Dominic’s Community Centre are hoping to make this an annual event.”
After tough deliberation, due to the high calibre of all performers, first place was awarded to Jack Canning, second place to Izzy Cousins, Belicia Keza Gatesi and Abigail , while third place went to Mia Kelly.
