Drimnagh shooting: Appeal for information on electric motorbike

GARDAI investigating the shooting dead of Josh Itseli in Drimnagh are appealing for information on a black electric motorbike believed to have been used in the incident.

As gardai at Sundrive Road continue to investigate all of the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting that occurred on Knocknarea Road in the early hours of Monday, they are appealing to the public for help.

In a statement released, gardai have appealed for information in relation to a black Talaria Sting electric motorbike which is understood to have been used in connection with the incident.

The electric motorbike was observed in the vicinity of Dolphin Road, Crumlin Road and Davitt Road on Sunday night, May 5, and into the early hours of Monday morning, May 6.

Gardai are also appealing to anyone who may have observed a black Talaria Sting electric motorbike in the vicinity of Dolphin Road in recent days.

The motorbike has been seized by investigating gardai, who are also seeking the rightful owner of the vehicle.

Gardai have also issued an appeal to any taxi drivers, public service vehicle drivers and motorists who observed pedestrians, or who may have been approached by pedestrians, on Davitt Road in the early hours of Monday morning.

Last night gardai confirmed that a post-mortem has been completed on the body of Mr Itseli, the results of which are not being released for operational purposes.

This morning, Wednesday, gardai stated that the three males arrested as part of the investigation have been released without charge, with a file being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

An incident room has been established at Sundrive Road Garda Station under the direction of a Senior Investigating Officer.
