Driver flees the scene of crash in Clondalkin after attempt made to set vehicle on fire
An attempt was made to set a vehicle on fire after it was involved in a road traffic collision this morning in Clondalkin – with the driver fleeing the scene before Gardai arrived.
The incident happened on Greenfort Lawns at approximately 6:15am.
Gardai arrived at the scene and found the vehicle abandoned, and it is unknown at this time how many people were travelling in the vehicle.
Speaking to Echo.ie, a Garda spokesperson said: “Gardai from Ronanstown attended a single car collision on Greenfort Lawns this morning at approximately 6:15am.
“There was an attempt made to set the vehicle on fire.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Ronanstown Garda station on 01-6667700.”
