
Drugs with estimated street value of €188k seized in Tallaght

Drugs with an estimated street value of up to €188,000 were seized in Tallaght yesterday and a man in his 40s arrested.
Gardai conducted a search of a house in Donomore on Monday (April 30) at 4pm, during which they seized cocaine, heroine and tablets with an estimated street value of up to €175,000.
According to An Garda Siochana, a man in his 40s was arrested.
A stolen car, which had been stripped down for parts, and drug parpaphernalia was also seized.
In a statement released this afternoon, An Garda Siochana said: “At approximately 4pm on the 30/04/18 gardai from Tallaght conducted a planned search of a house in the Donomore area.
“During the search cocaine, heroin and a quantity of tablets with an estimated street value of up to €175,000 (pending analysis) was seized and a male in his 40s arrested.”
In a follow-up search of a house in the Deerpark area of Tallaght cannabis, with an estimated street value of up to €13,000, was seized.
According to An Garda Siochana, the male in his 40s that was arrested was “detained under the provisions of Section 2 of The Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act at Tallaght Garda Station and was released early this morning”.
A file will be prepared for the DPP.
