Drunken ear-biter gets 240 hours of community service and says ‘thank you’
A man who bit off part of a restaurateur’s ear after he was told the premises was not yet open has been given 240 hours of community service in lieu of a three-year sentence, reports Isabel Hayes.
Petru Budai (43) of Finnslawn, Lucan, Co Dublin pleaded guilty to one count of assault causing harm to the man at Whitehall Terrace, Swords on October 28, 2021. He has no previous convictions.
