THE beginning of 2023 was predictably busy, with the first month of the year being filled with a variety of events and happenings across communities in South Dublin County.

The year started with Nicolas Andrzej Urban being the first baby born in the Coombe in 2023.

Nicolas is the fourth child and second son for Tallaght couple Daniel and Malgorzata.

The pupils attended Old Bawn Community School and Citywest ETNS with the assistance of their Tallaght native and Seoul-based English teacher Barry Eustace

ABACAS Special School in Kilnamanagh launched a fundraiser

Parents and staff from the ABACAS Special School in Kilnamanagh launched a fundraiser in order to address the school’s need for improved facilities.

Zuzanna Cieslewicz in the World Final of the Junk Kouture

Zuzanna Cieslewicz, 17, a fifth-year Old Bawn Community School student from Belgard, competed in the World Final of the Junk Kouture competition in Abu Dhabi with her arresting creation ‘Ex-Static’, made entirely of recycled and repurposed materials.

Stephanie Bowden was announced as a leader on RTÉ’s ‘Operation Transformation’

Clondalkin mother-of-two and Crumlin United Football Club coach Stephanie Bowden was announced as a leader on RTÉ’s popular health and fitness TV show ‘Operation Transformation’.
