Having recently released an acoustic version of her previously released song ‘Close’, ELLYD has returned with a brand-new tune that is sure to make you feel something.

The alt-pop artist is putting ‘Ghosts’ out into the world tomorrow (September 27) and it brings the typical melodic beats one has come to expect of the artist but this time it’s different.

LIFE ELLYD Ghosts compressor

Clondalkin native ELLYD

‘Ghosts’ is a gentle song that brings listeners on a journey with ELLYD’s melancholy yet gripping vocals that will have everybody singing along by the time the hook comes around.

A slow build, ‘Ghosts’ takes its time to get its hooks in, but by the time that chorus comes in for the second time in the song towards the very end, listeners will have a difficult time not singing along.

A Clondalkin native, ELLYD will be kickstarting her Irish tour on Saturday night in Cork before it fully commences in October. She will perform some shows alonside her newly formed backing band as well as some solos gigs.

Speaking about the new single ‘Ghosts’ and her upcoming tour, ELLYD said: “Ghosts is a song I think people will be able to relate to in some way or another. It is a little dark at the beginning, but finds the light towards the end.

“I’m looking forward to getting back out on the road to play new places and see new faces.

“I’ll be joined by my backing band for a couple of shows and I’ll be doing some intimate solo gigs too, a good mix, I can’t wait.”

‘Ghosts’ follows on from her successful upbeat single ‘With the World’ that came out at the end of May, which peaked at number 6 on the iTunes charts.

Sick of listening to the same songs repeatedly? Well ELLYD’s ‘Ghosts’ is a nice refresher and can be found everywhere from Friday, September 27.
